What sets us apart?

Some of the things that set Central Christian Academy apart include:

Partnering with parents in “training their children in the way they should go.” (Proverbs 22:6)

Providing a quality education based on the truths of the Bible.

Preparing students for their future with an excellent and well-balanced education.

Developing the hearts, minds, and bodies of young leaders.

Proclaiming that all knowledge and wisdom come from God and that the universe around them is in harmony and agreement with its Creator.

Central Christian Academy School Committee

We are blessed to have an oversight committee with many years of education experience and insight. The school committee (pictured above from Left to Right) includes former Jamestown Community College director – Frank Porpiglia, public school teacher – Christy Szocki, our CCA School Principal, Stephanie Pollok, committee chairman, FBC deacon and Fredonia State University associate professor, Dr. Marc Guy, our School Superintendent – Pastor Mark Massaro, and former public school teacher – Cindi Massaro.

Our History

Central Christian Academy was founded in 1981 through the guidance and vision of Pastor Earl Leiby of the First Baptist Church in Dunkirk. CCA’s opening enrollment included fifteen students in Kindergarten through Second grade.

Central Christian Academy was founded in 1981 through the guidance and vision of Pastor Earl Leiby of the First Baptist Church in Dunkirk. CCA’s opening enrollment included fifteen students in Kindergarten through Second grade.

In the following years, Central Christian Academy continued to grow until enrollment began exceeding building space. First Baptist Church built a new education building in 1987 to expand the school with more classrooms and enhance its church ministries. CCA then offered classes for Preschool through Grade 6. In 2008, Business First publication of Buffalo ranked CCA the top elementary school in Chautauqua County.

The Learning Center was later added to the school, offering a college prep program for students in grades 6-12. The Learning Center offers its students the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum program. A.C.E. is unique from other curriculum because of its individualized, self-instructional, mastery-based approach. Our students work through individual Packets (PACEs) to absorb subject material at their own pace rather than being forced to learn at a pace set by a teacher in a classroom environment. Instead of being labeled by a chronological grade, each student may advance according to individual learning abilities. The Learning Center has two full time teachers providing educational support to the students.

For over thirty-five years, Central Christian Academy has offered a high quality, Christian education for the families in our community and seeks to continue its growth and impact on the lives of our students and their families.
