Summer Slide

What is summer slide? It sounds fun! Not this slide! The "Summer Slide" is the academic regression children experience during the extended break from school. Children who don't regularly read during the summer can lose up to three month of reading progress and this has a cumulative, long term effect. We don't want to start the new school year at a lower reading level. Removing reading from your daily routine through the summer will give the impression that reading is something the teacher makes us do rather than choosing  to do it because we want to. Your teacher may [...]

Thank You Parents!

Thank you for making a commitment to your child's education and for entrusting them to Central Christian Academy. A Christian school gives children an opportunity to develop Christian friendships. A Christian school exposes children to Christian teachers who love and care about them. A Christian school teaches children the importance of the Bible, prayer, and Christian living. A Christian school gives children an opportunity to learn in a safe learning environment that promotes Christ-centered academic excellence. A Christian school provides an atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth, and the teachers are supportive of the home. As you reflect on the past, never lose sight of the eternal worth of [...]

And don't forget our principal, Mrs. Pollok and our CCA secretary, Mrs. Siragusa. The CCA School Committee is planning a breakfast on Tuesday, May 8 (National Teacher Appreciation Day). Open Enrollment is now here!

Open Enrollment is now here! Open Enrollment has begun at Central Christian Academy.  Now is the time to get your application in and interview/tour the school.  Don't miss out on this chance to hold a seat for your child.  The seats are filling up quickly...especially in the N3 and K4 classes.  There is never a guarantee of a second class for these grades so once the class fills we will start a waiting list.  If we get enough students on the waiting list then we may be able to start another class but it is not a certainty.  Don't wait!  Save [...]

However, if CCA remains open and the Dunkirk schools or other school districts are closed, and you are [...]
