Central Christian Academy provides a proven Christ-centered education, using the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum, along with languages, computer, and age appropriate physical activities, ensuring that students in the Learning Center are well prepared for any college preparatory secondary school after graduation from the 6th grade.
Learning Center Academic Program
The Learning Center at CCA is designed for students in the 4th-12th grades. The Learning Center utilizes the Accelerated Christian Education program and is an individualized, “pace” based program. Students learn at a pace that allows them to fully demonstrate comprehension of the material.
The Learning Center is typically limited to a total of 25 students in grades 6-12, but may include grades 4 & 5 depending on class sizes.
Students are stimulated daily in academic studies which stress reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies, as well as art, physical education, computer education, and enrichment activities. These are provided in the context of Christian faith. Daily Bible classes, and weekly chapels are a regular part of the school program.
At Central Christian Academy, our Learning Center students, under the direction of Christian teachers, are encouraged to grow spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. Our spiritual goal is to nurture the relationship students have with Christ. Our academic goal is to prepare students intellectually for higher education. Our social goal is to offer students biblical guidelines and instructions for healthy personal social relationships. Our physical goal is to offer students biblical guidelines and instructions for a healthy lifestyle.
Faculty and Staff
The strength of Central Christian Academy rests in the quality faculty and staff working with children. Consequently, faculty and staff must meet stringent guidelines, designed to assess spiritual maturity and commitment, academic qualifications and experience, and an obvious concern for the development and discipleship of students. All regular classroom teachers hold a minimum of a B.A. degree and New York State certification. Specialty teachers instruct in physical education, computers, and Spanish.
