Central Christian Academy School Committee

We are blessed to have an oversight committee with many decades of educational experience and insight. The school committee (pictured above from Left to Right) includes our CCA Superintendent – Pastor Mark Massaro from First Baptist Church – Dunkirk, former Jamestown Community College director – Frank Porpiglia, committee chairman, FBC deacon and CCA Music teacher, Dr. Marc Guy, current CCA School Principal – Cindi Massaro, former preschool teacher, Holly Jones, and current CCA special education teacher and former Fredonia schools teacher – Christy Szocki.

Our History

Central Christian Academy was founded in 1981 through the guidance and vision of Pastor Earl Leiby of the First Baptist Church in Dunkirk. CCA’s initial opening enrollment included fifteen students in Kindergarten through Second grade.

Central Christian Academy was founded in 1981 through the guidance and vision of Pastor Earl Leiby of the First Baptist Church in Dunkirk. CCA’s initial opening enrollment included fifteen students in Kindergarten through Second grade.

In the following years, Central Christian Academy continued to grow until enrollment began exceeding building space. First Baptist Church built a new education building in 1987 to expand the school with more classrooms and enhance its church ministries. CCA then offered classes for Preschool through Grade 6. In 2008, Business First publication of Buffalo ranked CCA the top elementary school in Chautauqua County.

A Middle and High School classroom was later added to the school, offering a college prep program for students in grades 6-12. The Middle/High School class offers its students video-based instruction with curricula from Abeka. Students work through individual videos and books to absorb subject material at their own pace. Instead of being labeled by a chronological grade, each student may advance according to individual learning abilities.

For over forty years, Central Christian Academy has offered a high quality, Christian education for the families in our community and seeks to continue its growth and impact on the lives of our students and their families.
