Central Christian Academy partners with parents to provide a quality, biblically-based education which will assist in the child’s academic, social, physical and spiritual development.

Partnering with parents extends into the health and well-being of our students. CCA is following the New York state requirements for COVID-19 safety and precautions. One of the benefits of private school is the ability to limit the number of students in our classes and our school. We are prepared to have a smaller enrollment this year to offer greater social distancing while maintaining in-person education which is optimal.

“By July 31, all districts and schools are required to create and submit to the Department Reopening Plans at the school level which should be posted on their public website and must contain the mandatory elements outlined in NYSED’s School Reopening Guidance Document.”

FAQs

Q    Is CCA opening and will classes be in-person or on-line?

A    Yes, we are planning to open full time and in-person! We have plans in place in case that needs to change during the course of the school year.

Q    What about masks?

A     We will require masks to be worn by everyone entering the building, except children less than two years old. Students must wear their masks coming to and from their classrooms, in the halls, and any time they cannot be socially distant.

Q    How will lunch work?

A     We will separate lunch into smaller groups and possibly eat in their classrooms at times.

Q    What safety precautions are you taking?

A     Students must wash their hands when they arrive, before they go home, before and after lunch, snack, and recess. Hand sanitizer will be available in all classrooms and throughout the building. The entire facility including classrooms, bathrooms, door surfaces, etc. will be sanitized daily according to COVID-19 requirements.

Q    What about weekly Chapel and Assembly?

A     We will not have assembly or chapel for at least the first two weeks of school as we all adjust to new practices. Then we will evaluate how these can be held safely.
