Back to School Supply Shopping Tips

It’s time to go shopping for School Supplies! School begins at Central Christian Academy in less than a month, and we are so excited to have our students back again. If you make this fun and positive, it will help your child(ren) get more excited about school starting. Who doesn’t love a new set of markers or pens?

Home Supplies

In addition to the classroom supplies lists, you will want to make sure you have some of these basics ready for homework and special assignments at home as well. Ask your teacher if there are other items he/she suggests.

Lined paper, drawing paper, pencils, pens, markers, crayons, scissors, ruler, eraser, stapler, tape, calculator, etc.

Benefits of Treasure Hunt: An Exciting Parenting ToolHave fun with a Treasure Hunt

Shopping for school supplies can be a chore or it can be a fun family event. It’s all about how you approach it. You can turn this into a fun scavenger hunt and give your kids all or parts of their list to find at the store. They will probably need appropriate supervision or a hunting partner while doing this. Enlist older siblings, grand parents, or others to help them. Pick a fun prize for the first one or team back to your cart with a completed list.

Look for the Best Deals

Often, the best back-to-school deals happen before classes are in session. Check out Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree, and of course Amazon too!
